● LOCKOUT
A safety measure, or lock, for a device that is disconnected from the power supply or can be disconnected to prevent others from connecting to the power supply or energy (such as opening a valve).
● TAGOUT
Hang a corresponding warning or warning sign on a disconnecting device that disconnects power and energy (such as “No closing, people work together”), a safety measure to warn others not to connect to power or energy, or tagout .
● Disconnecting Means
A device or a group of devices that can disconnect the power supply circuit connected to it.
● Relevant personnel: Personnel who are directly or indirectly in danger of electric shock and are operators who are designed to lockout tagout.
● Professionals: Personnel who have received professional education and experience, and have the ability to identify risks and avoid electrical hazards.
● Non-professionals: Persons who are neither professionals nor have primary training.
● Electrical safety working conditions: at or near the installation of conductors or conductive parts, the charged body is isolated, locked or marked in a specified state, and it is tested to ensure that there is no voltage on site and grounded according to regulations.
● Hazardous energy sources:
Refers to the energy contained in process materials or equipment that may cause personal injury or property loss.
● Hazardous energy sources include:
- Power source: such as electric, hydraulic, pneumatic
- Energy storage: such as gravity, energy storage caused by compression springs
-Other: thermal energy, such as chemical materials
